Road to the Doctorate!

Dr. White obtained his B.S. in Chemistry in 2012. During his undergraduate stint, he participated in three consecutive years of undergraduate research. He went on to win two awards for poster presentations at Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University. He also earned a student keynote speaker slot at the S.T.A.R.S. research award banquet (held at Old Dominion University).

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Research Talk at Hopkins

While in graduate school, Dr. White was a member of the largest Center of Excellence funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF): The Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology (CSN). As a member in The CSN, Dr. White conducted highly collaborative research with Johns Hopkins, Wisconsin, and Minnesota Universities. This research lead to one national award (Emerging Researchers National-ERN hosted by AAAS), two regional (Alabama Academy of Science), two local awards (Joint Annual Research Symposium-JARS), two publications, one patent and one pending patent.
